The Full Story

The human mind is always busy searching, waiting, and comparing things. It thinks in words, symbols, and pictures, sorting information from the sense organs into "good" and "bad", creating shadows from negative experiences that weigh the mind down. In meditation, we become observers of our thoughts without judgment. We don't get caught up in them; we just watch as they come and go. This helps calm the mind, making it clearer and more visible. We start to understand how our mind works and what stories and memories it holds.

When the mind is quiet, we experience pure silence and conscious presence. We see through the mind and discover our true nature as a center of awareness, untouched by thoughts and emotions. We find the joy and completeness we seek, seeing reality as a flow of energies or thoughts. We enter a state of being, just existing without doing anything.

The term "void" describes a state beyond the mind, thoughts, sensations, and the sense of self. It is pure awareness, pure existence without limits. It is emptiness yet fullness, nothingness yet everythingness. This is the constant experience of "Sanatana," the eternal presence of consciousness as originating in the ancient Sanskrit literature. It's like diving into the eternal flow of cosmic consciousness.

To approach the "void" in meditation, we observe the mind without getting involved, without judgment. Gradually, we detach from the mind's stories, becoming aware of the silent witness within – the core of our consciousness. Another way is to use breath to calm the mind and focus on the present. Slow, deep breaths release tension, emotions, and thoughts, creating a space for relaxation and clarity.

Thoughts, according to Maya's meditation sessions, are vibrations or energies that flow through our minds. They can be positive or negative, light or heavy. The mind is like a prism, distorting the information it receives. Meditation is observing the mind without judgment, like watching a lake's calm bottom or its agitated surface.

Thinking is natural, helping us survive and plan, but it can also distort reality and cause suffering. Meditation is about watching the mind without judgment, learning about ourselves, and seeing reality without the mind's stories. The "void" is when the mind is silent, leaving only pure consciousness. This state brings bliss, completeness, and our true self. Through meditation, we become witnesses of our minds, making our stories lighter and our perception clearer. Participants in Maya Meditation sessions in Estonia, Portugal, and Nepal have experienced this "void" state, realizing its ever growing importance for humanity today.
